... Anyone else doing something so we all don't wake up at 5a?!?
(I guess having a toddler can be easier OR harder than an older child or an infant...but, then again, I guess it's particular to each child!)
So, I just realized w/Daylight Savings Time at 2am Sunday, my 15-month old, Dylan, may be waking up an hour earlier than usual (um, possibly 5:30a?? No fun!). Of course, as luck would have it my husband is away for a few days, so this means I get the early-morning duties -- lucky me. From a fellow-mom I know through JSUMC New Mom's Group, I read this interesting article on how it it's a good idea to keep the kids up at night, and then keep them in the dark a bit in the morning. This way, it's a gradual transition to better wake-up times.
Here's the link: DST tips for parents.
Interesting read! (I also read this after I put Dylan down for bed Friday night, coincidentally a bit later tonight anyway, so I'll try the recommendations for the next few days and I'll post an update!)
Anyone else tried anything to modify you little one's sleep habits for DST (or even, say, pre-vacations or plane travel across time-zones? I'd imagine it would be a similar process.) LMK!

Comment by Nicole Aikins on November 10, 2011 at 2:46pm Going over to read the article now! I wish I saw this earlier, because I have been suffering through 5:45 A wake ups every day this week, when she used to wake up at 6:45/7a! Coffee and I have become best friends...
