So did you stick with your great intentions? Getting to the gym 5 days a week, eating healthy, cutting out soda, drinking more water? If you did, KUDOS! If you didn't, there is still time to redeem! But start now. Start today. And the one thing I am going to share with you today is getting in the right MINDFRAME!
You have to want it, you have to have the desire. No one is going to do it for you. Whether it be losing those last 5 or wanting to drop 30, you have to do it (are you ready to tell me off yet?!)
I posted 2 blogs back about how I was unhappy about how I felt and looked after my 3rd baby (now 6 months old already!) I gave myself a list of exactly what i tell my clients, and followed it. Sometimes it has to kick you in the face and you need to see it on paper for it to work for you. I set goals and got to close to where i want to be. (I never lose my last few until I stop breastfeeding, so those last few will have to wait!) But guess what, 2 weeks ago I ran the Miami half marathon with a great group of girlfriends. I have been in the mindset, mind and body!
NOW! Lets get you in the mindset. What is your goal, write it down. And lets journey together for the next 6 weeks!!
Every week, I am going to post early in the week with hints and advice to help you get into the mindset and get ready for the summer!!!
TIP #1!! MINDSET!!!
Write down those goals. And make sure you can see them. Put them on your phone, on your fridge, in your closet, on the bag of chips, etc. Put these goals where you can see them, and hold yourself accountable! One thing I caution, make lots of small goals. Work your way to your big goal with smaller ones. For example, workout 3 times the week, don't drinks soda, etc. Set that LONG term goal to lose 10 lbs.
Post positive aspirations around your house or at work and make sure they are things that make you SMILE.
For the next week, PLAN your food and workouts. Try a new recipe and schedule your workouts like they are Dr appointments.
LAST THING...take one "bad" thing out of your diet and substitute it with a healthy one that satisfies you.
Here is a good quick substitute!
Take the chips and dip out and replace with veggies and plain geek yogurt with added honey. Pre cut the veggies so you can grab and go!!
Check back next week for tip number 2. Feel free to post your workouts or substitutes here to share!!!
Lets get in the mindset to health and fitness for you, for your kids, and to feel great!
NEXT WEEK...why a lifestyle change works compared to those fad diets, and a fun recipe even the kids will enjoy!!!

Love this! Thanks for the motivation, Lori. I've been doing great, but it ALWAYS helps to get a little extra push from a pro like you. :)
