Stress: Embrace it, handle it, then let it go.

Okay… deep breaths.

Life is stressful. Every day, it feels like we’re getting pulled in all possible directions, overwhelmed with things to do, people to see, and places to be. And before you know it, your entire day feels like complete chaos.

Just remember… deep breaths.

Understanding and managing stress is so important, but it takes work. Whether it’s physical wear-and-tear or emotionally draining mental stress, awareness is key. Why are you stressed? Although it may feel overwhelming, odds are that your stress can be broken down and traced back to a handful of smaller, more manageable factors. Identify these causes, and deal with them one at a time.

And don’t forget, physical and mental stress go hand in hand. Your physical health may be your single best tool for keeping stress and anxiety under control. Are you overworked? Are you recovering? Are you getting enough sleep? What did you eat today? What did you drink? When your body is off balance, even life’s little bumps in the road can stop you in your tracks.   

Embrace your stress, deal with it, and accept you can’t do everything in a day.

And above all else… deep breaths.
