Along with the fewer cares and worries that come with the summer months, your beauty routine should involve less too. Less time spent putting on fewer products means more time to enjoy the season.
Here are a few ways you can streamline your process and shave some time off your routine.
Replace your moisturizer and foundation with a tinted moisturizer. It’s two products in one. Be sure to buy one with SPF (most have a SPF of 20). This is my go-to tinted moisturizer.
Replace lipstick with a tinted lip balm that contains sunscreen. You get the protection with a hint of color that gives your lips a natural look. This one from Neutrogena offers a wide variety of colors and has one of the highest SPF factors of most tinted balms available.
I love the look of sun-kissed skin, but the damaging UV rays of the sun are a big no-no. Let a bronzer do the trick to give you a natural glow without the sun damage. This is one of the best powder blush/bronzer combos you’ll find.
Be a Minimalist
Keep the makeup to a minimum. Let the tinted moisturizer and bronzer do all the work. Follow up with a swipe of lip balm and a coat or two of mascara, and you are set. This mascara is a reliable choice.
Save Your Skin
The air may be humid, but the salt and chlorine water are anything but. Shower immediately after taking a dip in the ocean or pool and moisturize with a body oil such as this one.
Add a Finishing Touch
Add a light and fresh scent to keep you smelling your best even under the most brutal temperatures. I love the Philosophy line of fragrances.
It's time to bring on summer!
