The Game of Cones

Shakespeare in the park, summer stage is all the rave.  Acting definitely takes on a resurgence in the summertime, and what better time to pretend play then today?  I’m taking the knights costumes out, complete with armor and swords.  The swing set will be the castle. and someone needs to guard the castle at all times, for the Queen, which could be you, of course.  If you have a pool, let it be a mote and the dog can stand guard.  We fight for territory and place cones when an area…

Little Air Travelers

I travel a lot. Five hours on a plane, twice a month, with my 15- month-old daughter in tow. My girlfriend, a fellow traveler, asked me what to pack before taking off to Hawaii with her baby.

She told me a friend of hers brought post its....Well, if your infant is anything like mine, you will be playing 21 pick up in no time.

How awesome is that?  I figured we would have to start slow and let him catch up gradually.  Well, I was wrong.  The kid left me in the dust…literally.  We went running around a nearby baseball field and he was in…
