Driving While Mommying

So I had a VERY scary moment the other day. While driving to take my daughter to daycare (a 35 minute drive from home), my daughter went into her usual morning routine:

  • Baby drops cup
  • Mommy (myself) reaches back to find cup
  • Baby cries for toy
  • Mommy reaches to find one of the 1000 toys that are in the backseat
  • Baby throws the toy that Mommy gave her because it's the BROWN horse and not the BLACK…

Mother's Day will mark 75 days from Opening Ceremonies!

The year is flying by and probably going a little faster for me as this is sure to be my last try for one more Gold Medal.  London is hosting the Olympic Games this summer.

Growing Pains - Mom Style

Two female acquaintances see each other in Shop-Rite.  Their eyes lock before filling with tears.  Their brains register with the same thought, the same realization, the same sadness.  They are mothers.  Their children are graduating 5th grade, leaving the younger part of childhood behind.  As the kids experience the stress of growing pains, the mothers are too.
