With the summer approaching I tend to get a little anxious about those long days and seemingly never ending nights ahead. All the kids are home, fighting between siblings will ensue, dozens of snacks will be eaten, all the neighborhood kids will be in my pool and this mama will be all tuckered out. However, at the end of the day I will only to have to do it…Continue
There’s a quote that says, “Tough times don’t last – tough people do.” It’s a quote we’ve come to live by. Our experiences have certainly made us stronger, as individuals and as a family. As we’ve transitioned into parenthood, we are learning to balance family and career, which is more difficult than we both could have imagined. We always feel like…
We all have defining moments in life. Moments when you least expect it, when you have a full agenda and a list of things to do, and there is no time for derailment. In an instant, so many aspects of life are put in a new perspective, and the little things are what you learn to cherish most.
Our world changed in August of 2011. We were preparing for our third attempt to get pregnant through in vitro fertilization, and my doctor made me get a mammogram. I was only 37 years old and…Continue

It's becoming a natural part of our parenting landscape.
A human tragedy strikes. Sometimes it's a natural disaster. Other times it's at the hands of a fellow human being.

Summer is around the corner and spring is here! It's never to early or late to start carrying around your SPF. I've been a licensed Esthetician for 13 years and educating my clients on the the differences of SPF has always been my focus.

My girls are very active in sports and activities, and they both, Rylie especially, have grown up watching me out on the field. Now it’s my turn to sit back and watch them, and I do so quietly. It may surprise you that someone as competitive and athletic as me can be a quiet sideline parent, but I feel that acting so helps children build their confidence both on and off the field.
Growing up, my parents had a similar philosophy. They never sat…Continue
