Being a mom and balancing life, work, kids, oh and actually working out to get your figure back and feel good about yourself?!  Really…is that even possible?  Of course…but not without discipline, deep breaths, and knowing that after babies, your life is changed forever.  Forget about your former schedule, quiet time in the gym, seeing friends after work…life is changed, but all for the better in my book.

My kids have always worked out with me, since they were 2 weeks…

Do You Have Car Seat Questions???

Hi Moms!

Do you have questions about car seats and car seat installation?

Beginning on February 1, 2011, the Regional Trauma Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center will host a monthly car seat fitting station. We will work with members of the NJ State Police, to show parents and caregivers the correct way to install a car seat, and to ensure that we are all using the right car seat for our kids.

Run Like a Mother?

January brings all sorts of resolutions doesn't it? Many of us have pledged to get back in to shape. I have. I've been running twice a week and going to a fitness class one other day but this comes after a long, lazy break. I have never called myself a runner. In 1999…

Postpartum Anxiety... My Crisis of the Soul

My 1st child was born in September 2004.  Having a baby was fully my choice; at age 31, I was ready.  Pregnant, I chose to leave my PhD program and find a job instead; in preparation for the baby's arrival, an incoming salary seemed more sensible than accruing more student loans.  Believe me, I was more excited to be a mom than any book I had read or research paper I composed. …
