Don't forget the Car Seat Check Up event at JSUMC today, March 1, from 3 PM to 7 PM at the old ED entrance. Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the Regional Trauma Center and the New Jersey State Police will be on hand to provide free car seat installation information, and to check your seat for safety!

Hi Moms!Do you have questions about car seats and car seat installation?Beginning on February 1, 2011, the Regional Trauma Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center will host a monthly car seat fitting station. "Apple slices, baby carrots, and grape tomatoes are easy. Whole grain pretzels and crackers, popcorn (I prefer airpopped), and granola bars are great options too. To drink...stick with water. I freeze mine since it's melt quickly in the heat."

Books for Tweens

My 11 YO son is an avid reader. I am always looking for new books and series to recommend for him. He LOVED the Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief series...so when I saw that the author, Rick Riordan, had a new series "The Red Pyramid" I had to grab it. My son loved it, and is now disappointed that he has to wait til next year for the next installment to be released! I love that he is so eager to read. Any other suggestions for him?
