Hi Everyone! Looking for insight on delivering at Jersey Shore. I am new to the area and have delivered my previous children in Brooklyn. My doctors go through Jersey Shore and would love some real feedback on what to expect. Thanks!
Jacquie
nothing to eat, oh no!! (did they tell you about the fridge w juices/snacks? of course it's for the moms but my hubby grabbed a few for sure. we even had a new "dad's chair" brought in b/c the one that we orig had in our room was pretty uncomfy (not like they ever truly are)... DEF ASK!!!
here's info from the meridian website:

perhaps it as something to do which hospital you deliver at? while i liked my food at JSUMC post-partum, my friend who delivered at Riverview got filet mignon and a water-view room. :)
aha -- looks like i typed too soon -- looks like it IS a Riverview thing b/c they have a maternity concierge service (even spa services)... which you pay for, so i'd bet that dinner is something you have to pay for. excellent idea tho -- wonder how much!?!?

(here's mention of dinner etc., and it does NOT mention concierge services for JSUMC -- so heather maybe it was a meridian link you saw? hmmm!?)
hi heather,
I just gave birth at JSUMC dec 20th and they didnt do that for us. In fact my husband wasn't even offered anything to eat the whole time we were there. I loved the staff and our birth experience was great but they need to make the fathers just as comfortable as the mothers.
I just went onto the JSUMC website and saw that they have a celebratory dinner for the new parents. This is my 4th pregnancy but first time delivering at JSUMC and was wondering if that is still true? Anyone know?
