Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of places to visit for moms and babies younger than 6 months that is indoor?? Or any good winter friendly places? Thanks,
Colleen

My wife has taken classes through Monmouth County Parks. There are classes you take take with your baby starting at one month old, I believe. Check out their website. Here is the link:

Click on the Fall 2010 Directory
From what I remember, classes fill-up quick, so you may have to wait for the classes that start in January to be posted.
I hope that helps!
Thanks Michael,
I found two groups that are under 6 months.

Hi Colleen!!

My name is Jen Vieth and I am the fitness manager of Mommy-Moves!! We offer indoor stroller fitness class at Brookdale College, Collins Arena starting in January!! Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am!! Your first class would be FREE! We exercise and gab, so its a great activity to get you and baby out of the house!! Please feel free to contact me with any questions at jen@mommy-moves.com!! (We currently are running classes outside until it gets too cold!!)

Gymboree Play & Music has classes for babies under 6 months. You can get class schedules at www.gymboreeclasses.com.
Okay, just make me wish I lived closer why don't ya. There really isn't much in Atlantic County. Okay there is, but it just isn't for little ones. We do the Aquarium, Children's Museum in Shore Mall, and of course the little play area at the Hamilton Mall. But then, my babies are 3 so we have a few more options.

We just finally checked out the Wonderwing at the Monmouth Museum (Brookdale) and had a good time. My 15 month old was a little slow to warm up to the place at first but then started having a blast. I would say its good for that age and up. We've also been checking things out at our local library. There are tons on activities available for babies and toddlers and she seems to really enjoy the activities there.
You should check out the Mothers Center of the Jersey Shore:  www.mcjs.org
I was a member when my children were younger, and they offer a monthly newsletter filled with great ideas for moms to do with their children.  They may have some ideas for you to consider.

Mommy Moves winter classes begin January 9th!!  We hope to see you!!!

JSUMC has a NEW MOMS GROUP that meets every Thursday from 1-3p inside the Ackerman auditorium.  Usually about 10 moms+ are there every week, and it's moderated by a nurse who is wealth of resources for new moms with questions (even moms of 2 or more! lols).  Valet your car @ the Brennan entrance (right off Rte 33) and you get your ticket stamped inside so it's free.  :)  Moms get to hang out, kids play on the carpet or in strollers (good idea to bring a blanket and some toys) -- it's a great service.  I did it till my first was about 9mos old... and plan to go back once my 2nd is born next month.  Such a lifesaver! (especially during the winter last yr)
