My wife has taken classes through Monmouth County Parks. There are classes you take take with your baby starting at one month old, I believe. Check out their website. Here is the link:

From what I remember, classes fill-up quick, so you may have to wait for the classes that start in January to be posted.
I hope that helps!

JSUMC has a NEW MOMS GROUP that meets every Thursday from 1-3p inside the Ackerman auditorium. Usually about 10 moms+ are there every week, and it's moderated by a nurse who is wealth of resources for new moms with questions (even moms of 2 or more! lols). Valet your car @ the Brennan entrance (right off Rte 33) and you get your ticket stamped inside so it's free. :) Moms get to hang out, kids play on the carpet or in strollers (good idea to bring a blanket and some toys) -- it's a great service. I did it till my first was about 9mos old... and plan to go back once my 2nd is born next month. Such a lifesaver! (especially during the winter last yr)
