Where local moms share, learn and grow together.

I thought babies weren't supposed to have dairy until they are at least one, but now I am hearing they can have yogurt and cheese as young as 6 months and I keep seeing commercials for a baby yogurt from Stonyfield. Also heard similar info about eggs, but I know a lot of moms who are introducing them between 6-8 months.

Does anyone have any thoughts/insight about this?

We did yogurt and cheese before my son was 1 yr.  Our doctor didn't say eggs until after 1 yr, but he wasn't crazy about them.

We have a new doctor for my daughter (she is 6 mo) and we started solids later.  I am still introducing all the veggies and fruit baby food.  So we aren't anywhere near starting dairy.

Ultimately, I think whatever you choose is fine as long as you follow the rule of introducing one food at a time.

Thanks Angie!
